ABOUT PATHWAYS RECOVERY AND WELLNESS
Located in Marysville, Calif., Pathways Recovery and Wellness provides residential and outpatient treatment services to adults struggling with substance use disorder. Medically monitored detoxification services are offered on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients receive a comprehensive assessment upon admission to determine the appropriate level of care. The residential program, which can last anywhere from 30 to 90 days, is individualized and includes group therapy, one-on-one counseling, family therapy, and addiction education groups. Clients may also participate in 12-step meetings, spiritual activities such as church services, and regular exercise and recreation.
Pathways’ outpatient programs include most of the same treatment treatment activities offered in residential treatment. There’s a day treatment program that meets five says a week, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., as well as an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that’s offered five times a week for six weeks, or three times a week for ten weeks.
A year of free aftercare, which consists of weekly relapse prevention meetings, is provided to all clients who successfully complete residential and/or outpatient treatment.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to the facility’s website, the treatment team includes certified alcohol and drug counselors. The two alumni surveyed by Best-rehabs.com to date gave the facility four out of five stars and one out of five stars for its staff’s level of training and experience.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
All clients in the residential program share bedrooms with one roommate. For the first seven days in treatment, residents are not allowed to speak with or receive visits from loved ones, though they can receive mail. Cameras, iPods, personal computers, and cell phones are not permitted.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The two former clients polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave Pathways Recovery and Wellness opposing reviews. B.J.M. offered the facility mostly positive feedback, awarding the rehab four out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness, its family participation, and its 12-step inclusion. When asked, on a scale from one to five, if they would recommend the facility, B.J.M. gave a rating of four. “It’s a good place for the price,” they wrote.
K.P., on the other hand, told Best-rehabs.com that Pathways Recovery and Wellness had no strengths, and gave the facility one out of five stars for its holistic offerings, its family participation, its counseling options, and its treatment of co-occurring disorders.
FINANCING
According to the facility’s website, Pathways Recovery and Wellness accepts private insurance and offers financing through third-party lending organizations. One former client surveyed by Best-rehabs.com to date gave the facility four out of five stars for its affordability, while the other alum gave the rehab just one out of five stars for the same metric.
