Located in Stockton, Calif., San Joaquin County Substance Abuse Services operates a central intake unit for adults. This unit facilitates admission to appropriate treatment programs for adult men and women struggling with substance use disorder or dual diagnosis. The facility also includes a recovery house and a chemical dependency counseling center.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients undergo an assessment using the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) through a comprehensive interview. Depending on the results, clients may be referred to detox facilities, inpatient or residential treatment centers, or outpatient programs. Crisis intervention services may also be administered on-site if necessary.
