The resolution of a chemical dependency problem is a process of initiating a program of recovery through guided practice in making planned changes in behavior. Patients are assisted in making self-enhancing behavioral and emotional changes and in using emotional self-help techniques.
ABOUT TWIN TOWN TREATMENT CENTERS – LOS ALAMITOS
The Twin Town Treatment Center of Los Alamitos, CA, offers outpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults struggling with substance abuse for the communities of Long Beach, Cerritos, Cypress, Anaheim, Westminster, and Huntington Beach. Los Alamitos is one of six Twin Town Treatment Centers throughout Orange County and Los Angeles County. If required, Twin Town can coordinate detoxification services for clients through an affiliated physician.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
To determine the appropriate level of care, clients undergo an initial, no-cost evaluation, consisting of a biological screening and psychosocial assessment.
Twin Town’s treatment method combines 12-step principles with individual therapy, group counseling, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The facility also offers a family education program and family codependency counseling for loved ones.
This facility provides three levels of care. Day treatment, the most intense level of care, involves eight hours of programming per day, up to six days per week. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) includes three hours of treatment per day, up to six days per week. Clients who successfully complete the IOP are enrolled in the continuing care service for four subsequent months, which includes twice-weekly aftercare treatment sessions. Twin Town also has an active alumni organization that meets once a month.
Along with its three basic programs, Twin Town Treatment Centers offers a 10-session track for former clients who have relapsed and an alcohol and drug education program for criminal justice clients. This latter program also can be used for employer referrals; it includes regular urinalysis testing.

Twin Town Treatment Center of Los Alamitos employs licensed substance abuse counselors, family therapists, and case managers. Many of the facility’s employees are also in recovery, providing a heightened level of empathy and compassion to clientele.

Fees for the IOP and day treatment start at $210 per day. Twin Town Treatment Centers accepts insurance and is in-network with all HMO, PPO, EPO, EAP and managed care companies. Financial assistance is available to clients who qualify.
