ABOUT HIGH WATCH RECOVERY CENTER
Situated in the charming New England town of Kent, Conn., High Watch Recovery Center offers residential treatment for adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Founded in 1940 with the assistance of Bill Wilson, a co-founder of the Alcoholics Anonymous program, our facility is deeply rooted in the principles of the 12-Steps. Please note that we do not have a detox unit on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Our programming combines 12-step involvement with educational and holistic opportunities. Each client is paired with a personal therapist for bi-weekly individual counseling and weekly group therapy sessions. In addition, clients can participate in therapeutic activities such as meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, volleyball, and scenic nature hikes. Our fitness center also offers access to various cardio and weight machines.
At no extra cost, loved ones are invited to attend a day-long family education workshop focused on addiction education every four weeks. Regular family visitation hours are held on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Upon completion of 30 days in treatment, clients may apply for the extended care program, which provides an additional 60 days of treatment at no additional cost. Graduates can also stay involved through alumni newsletters, meetings, events, and activities.
