ABOUT THE ORCHID RECOVERY CENTER
Located in tranquil Palm Springs, Fla., The Orchid Recovery Center is a drug and alcohol rehab facility exclusively for women. It provides residential treatment that addresses the underlying issues contributing to addiction, as well as the unique needs and challenges women face in recovery. Co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety are also treated. Detox services are available on-site for clients needing medical attention when they arrive.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients receive a psychosocial evaluation within 48 hours of arrival to enable the treatment team to put together the most appropriate program. Treatment can last anywhere from 30 to 90 days and consists of individual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and experiential group work.
This program is holistic-focused and includes therapies such as art therapy, healing sound therapy, yoga, acupuncture, and massage therapy. There is a special focus on treating unresolved trauma, since the center maintains this is often central in women’s addictions. In addition, life skills therapy is available to teach women how to complete basic tasks without drugs or alcohol and clients can access outside 12-step meetings for recovery. Fitness and nutritional counseling are significant fixtures of the program.
Aftercare options vary from intensive outpatient referrals to sober living placements to a regime of 12-step meetings.
