ABOUT BOWEN CENTER – WARSAW

Bowen Center is a nonprofit mental health care and substance abuse treatment organization with a dozen locations throughout northeast Indiana, including in Huntington and Columbia City. Clients include those struggling with ADHD, eating disorders, and an array of addictions such as gambling and drugs and alcohol. The Warsaw facility in Kosciusko County offers inpatient medical detoxification and stabilization services and outpatient treatment for adult men and women. TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Admission to the Warsaw inpatient unit involves a physical examination, psychiatric evaluation, and social history. Clients who have received a single or dual diagnosis of chemical dependency and mental health disorders usually remain on the unit until they transition to continued outpatient treatment or to a group home or another recommended program.

All levels of treatment incorporate individual and group counseling and are strength-based, trauma-informed, solution-focused, and time-efficient. An array of therapeutic modalities are employed, including the Matrix Model, Seeking Safety, Moral Reconation Therapy for clients in the criminal justice system, hypnosis, biofeedback, and workshops for anxiety and stress management.

An employee assistance program, social skills training, grief counseling, community education sessions, and special treatment for adolescents and women are also offered.
