ABOUT CONFIDENTIAL CARE
Serving the east Chicago and northwest Indiana areas, Confidential Care provides outpatient substance abuse and mental health services. Housed in an office building complex, this facility in Muncie, Ind. offers intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient drug and alcohol addiction programs for adults, adolescents, and children. Dual-diagnosis treatment and IOP psychiatric services are also available. In addition, Confidential Care provides outpatient ambulatory detoxification services and medication assisted treatment.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The adult substance abuse intensive outpatient program at Confidential Care include nine hours of programming per week. This programming includes medication management, individual therapy, support groups, family therapy, mental health services, and community service. In addition, education sessions are offered to individuals in treatment and family members.
Acute detox at this facility generally takes one to three weeks. After detox, clients are able to seamlessly enter the outpatient recovery management program. The outpatient recovery program includes three phases (acute, stabilization, and maintenance) which staff use to match clients with the most appropriate treatment plan.
In the adolescent IOP program, clients meet three times per week for three-hour sessions in the evenings. Treatment includes one hour of individual and family counseling each, medication management, along with group counseling addressing topics including behavioral issues, depression, and anger management among many.
Beside treatment of issues with substance use, Confidential Care also provides TMS therapy for clients with depression and a program for clients seeking recovery from binge eating disorders.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to the facility’s website, treatment at Confidential Care is led by two staff psychiatrists. In addition, staff include a nurse practitioner, therapists, and medical assistants.

Best-rehabs.com has not received feedback from alumni or staff members of Confidential Care at the time of this writing. On Google, ten reviewers to date rated Confidential Care an average 3.8 out of five stars, with a highly polarized spread of seven five-star reviews and three one-star reviews.[1]
In comments, loved ones, alumni, and mental health professionals praised Confidential Care’s diagnosis and treatment of co-occurring mental health disorders and professional treatment from staff. Reviewer Michael wrote: “Great doctors and phenomenal staff. Go above and beyond for all their patients. Highly recommended.” Among negative reviewers, one complained of long wait times and insurance failing to cover treatment.

The single loved one surveyed by Best-rehabs.com to date offered positive feedback for Confidential Care. When asked to rate whether the loved one would recommend the center, they rated the facility a perfect five stars. Although the loved one gave four- and five-star ratings for most metrics, they gave a mediocre rating of three out of five stars for the facility’s holistic treatment offerings. The anonymous loved one wrote: “Group and individual therapy. Wonderful staff. Excellent facility with detox and counseling.”

At the time of this writing, the facility’s website has no information regarding its costs, though HealthGrove indicates the facility accepts state insurance (other than Medicaid) and Access to Recovery vouchers.
