To determine an accurate diagnosis and assess treatment needs, patients first undergo an initial evaluation with clinicians. The primary goal of inpatient care is to rapidly stabilize the patient and refer them to a less-intensive level of care. Each patient admitting into the Behavioral Health Center participates in a structured, therapeutic schedule of evidence-based treatments.
Along with pharmacological intervention, patients participate in individual, group, and family therapy sessions to identify social, familial, and psychiatric issues contributing to behavioral health concerns. In addition, patients attend educational workshops that introduce new coping skills and stress management techniques for dealing with real-life situations. To build self-esteem and develop new interests, patients also participate in activity therapy, which may include musical expression, arts and crafts, and exercise. The facility also offers a family program to provide education to loved ones.
The average length of inpatient care is four to five days. Before a patient is discharged, clinicians coordinate with them and their family to design a comprehensive discharge plan. Clinicians may refer the individual to the hospital’s intensive outpatient program and help them locate community-based resources.

When asked, on a scale from one to five, if they would recommend the facility, both gave a a rating of five. “Doctors are the best, get help if needed,” said one of the loved ones in a representative review. The other commented, “great place for treatment.”
