ABOUT CENIKOR FOUNDATION — DEER PARK
Founded in 1967, Cenikor Foundation is a private, nonprofit behavioral health organization that offers a full continuum of care to adults and adolescents through its 11 facilities in Texas and Louisiana.
The facility in Deer Park, in the suburbs 20 miles southeast of central Houston, provides residential and outpatient treatment services to individuals struggling with substance abuse. Detox is available on site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The center offers medically assisted opioid-replacement therapy on an outpatient basis, as well as medical detox on an inpatient basis.
This location offers both long- and short-term residential treatment. The long-term residential program involves education, clinical counseling, and the therapeutic community (TC) model, in a program designed to change residents’ attitudes, behaviors, and perceptions over the long term. Heavy emphasis is placed on vocational training and employment through Cenikor’s robust Workforce Development program, which offers training in a range of fields. Clients also learn how to manage their own money, and upon graduation the facility will help them to secure housing and employment.
The short-term residential program involves individual and group counseling, life skills training, and education for family members.
