ABOUT THE CENTER FOR HEALTH CARE SERVICES
Located in San Antonio, Texas, the Center for Health Care Services provides a variety of treatment options for adult residents of Bexar County who are struggling with substance use disorder and dual diagnosis. The Center offers residential and ambulatory detox, as well as outpatient programs.

All clients receive a comprehensive assessment upon admission to determine the appropriate level of care. Residential detox typically lasts three to seven days and includes recovery support services and long-term treatment planning, along with medically monitored treatment. The Center also has a Substance Use Public Sobering Unit that provides a safe place for adults under the influence.
In addition to an intensive outpatient program (IOP), the Center also provides specialized groups for opiate dependence and dual diagnosis. There’s also a “Mommies Program” that offers individual, group, and family counseling to women with children. The program includes Seeking Safety groups, as well as workshops on relapse prevention and parenting skills.
