5 Residential is one of the five luxury sober-living facilities in California. It offers residential programs with a spiritual focus. The facility has the ability to accommodate long-term residencies, which is a feature that only 33.9 percent of facilities in California provide. Located in West Hollywood, 5 Residential is owned and operated by two experienced women in the recovery field.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
At 5 Residential, the treatment is based on the principles of “spiritual awakening” and “psychic change” connected with the 12-Steps. In addition to residential programs, clients can be referred to local intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) if they require more intensive treatment.
The treatment at 5 Residential revolves around five principles: to be true to oneself, unconditional love, non-judgment, non-violation, and consciousness. All residents are required to participate in 12-step meetings and have a sponsor. Treatment also includes daily breathalyzer tests and random drug tests. The facility also offers weekly on-site relapse prevention workshops.

5 Residential is managed by two experienced women in the recovery field. There is 24-hour staff coverage at each facility. Clients can enjoy weekly outings to the beach, movies, and barbeques, as well as meals prepared by an on-site chef. An alum who submitted a review to Best-rehabs.com gave a mixed review but rated the treatment five out of five stars. However, the accommodations were only rated three out of five stars.
Several alumni expressed their gratitude to 5 Residential on the facility’s Facebook page. They commented on the staff and treatment processes, with the majority of alumni stating that their perception of addiction changed.
