ABOUT GLORIOSA TREATMENT CENTER
Located in Mission Viejo, Calif., only 20 minutes from Laguna Beach, Gloriosa Treatment Center is a private detox and recovery program for clients with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Combining holistic services with an evidence-based approach, Gloriosa Treatment Center offers a 30-day residential treatment program, a variety of outpatient options, and non-medical, social detox for adults seeking long-term recovery.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Gloriosa Treatment Center begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify each client’s specific needs. Clients work with clinical specialists to develop an individualized treatment plan. Clients in need of immediate intervention are enrolled in the detox program.
Treatment focuses on evidence-based methods and 12-step principles. Residential treatment generally lasts 30 days, but clients can stay up to three months if needed. Clients participate in individual and group counseling sessions as well as community-based groups like 12-step meetings.
Aside from counseling, clients participate in educational courses to address key concerns with addiction and other behaviors. Many of the courses are designed to help clients develop coping and sober living skills.
In addition to evidence-based and traditional approaches, the center offers holistic opportunities and activities to help clients achieve more balanced, well-rounded lives. Through meditation training and stress-reduction techniques, clients can learn to better handle everyday stressors and anxiety. An example is beach therapy where clients have time to relax and reflect.
The facility also runs a specialized track for individuals with dual diagnoses, where psychiatric consults and medication management are integrated into the core curriculum. Clients also use holistic therapies and educational courses to address specific behaviors that contribute to their problem behaviors. Family participation is encouraged, and family sessions are available on the weekends.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Collectively, Gloriosa Treatment Center’s clinical team has more than 80 years of continued sobriety. The staff includes a board-certified physician, a licensed nurse, and Master-level counselors with experience in both substance abuse and mental health disorders. In addition, the facility boasts a staff-to-client ratio of 3:1.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The Gloriosa Treatment Center is a six-bed facility with a high-end hotel and home-like atmosphere. Clients are housed in double-occupancy bedrooms and share large communal areas appointed with plush and antique furniture. In their free time, residents can enjoy swimming in the pool or simply lounge in the adjacent outdoor patio. Access to a gym is also provided. Clients can also experience trips to the beach, whale-watching, movies, and sporting events since the facility is located close to several natural amenities like the beach.
