Healthcare network Kaiser Permanente provides outpatient-based treatment for addiction and co-occurring disorders in San Francisco through its Chemical Dependency Recovery Program (CDRP). Kaiser Permanente offers all levels of detoxification services, day treatment, and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP).
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Kaiser Permanente is individualized following a clinical and medical evaluation. A range of detoxification services (medication-assisted and otherwise) is available depending on medical necessity. Clients enrolled in day treatment and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) will participate in group and individual therapy, education about addiction, and skill building activities.
Adolescent treatment is available. Specialty groups for African Americans, homosexual men, and individuals with dual diagnoses is offered.
Kaiser Permanente’s Chemical Dependency Recovery Program is open every day of the week: Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Kaiser Permanente employs physicians and masters-level clinicians. The sole alum polled by Best-rehabs.com to date gave a perfect five-star ratings for the staff’s level of training and experience.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The only alum responding to a Best-rehabs.com poll at this time of writing awarded Kaiser Permanente’s CDRP perfect five-star ratings across 15 evaluated metrics including its treatment effectiveness, treatment for co-occurring disorders, level of family participation, and its exercise, leisure, and holistic activities. The alum reported that everything was a strength at the facility and wrote: “I had a great stay.”
On Google, CDRP received an average 3.7 out of five stars based on six reviews.
On Yelp, the facility had an overall three-star rating from three reviewers.
WHAT STAFF SAY
Though current and former staff members at Kaiser Permanente have not yet responded to a Best-rehabs.com poll, employees at the San Francisco location gave the facility three-, four-, or five-star ratings. Reviewers noted a positive work atmosphere and helpful colleagues.
FINANCING
According to the facility’s website, Kaiser Permanente enrollees have full and equal access to covered services. The sole alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com indicated that treatment was worth the cost and gave five out of five stars for the center’s affordability.
