WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Reviews submitted to Best-rehabs.com by more than 30 former clients at the time of this writing indicated that Ridgeview offers an effective treatment program with knowledgeable and compassionate staff and solid counseling and group therapy in clean, well-maintained facilities. Ratings for treatment effectiveness

One alum, Kimberly, credited the facility with saving her life, while Candace described the program as “excellent, “effective,” and “promising.” Tom, who gave Ridgeview perfect ratings for accommodations, meals and nutrition, leisure opportunities, staff support, and facility cleanliness, wrote: “I reached an understanding about myself and my addiction to degree that I have been sober for 26 years. I would call that a success.”

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

Feedback from more than a dozen loved ones offered a more mixed opinion of the facility. Ridgeview’s family participation and its staff’s level of training and experience were given an average rating of 4.22 out of five stars by the 14 loved ones polled on the category, including an anonymous family member who wrote: “My brother in law was treated for alcohol and drugs. He was there 30 days. He came out as a participant and believer in the AA program and has maintained it in his life today. Excellent caring staff.”

Several loved ones also noted that the facility was very clean and offered good medical monitoring and follow-up care.

Negative comments called out inadequate psychiatric services, poor communication with families, and limited visitation. “They say families should support but offer limited visitation, no guidance or accommodations on when to visit,” M.M.M. wrote.

And Beth, whose mother was in the program, felt mislead by the facility. She wrote: “They said they had special programs geared toward older adults and there was no such thing. They did nothing but house our mother for a month.”

FINANCING

Many insurance plans cover all or part of the cost of Ridgeview’s treatment programs, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Tricare.

Ridgeview Institute Reviews

I was there for a very long time. I even got upset and approached the staff. There was one lady that came out frequently to update and tell who was next. She would apoogizer for the wait but assured us that everyone will be seen and they were working hard to get everyone in. I demanded to see if someone was going before me. I want to say that I was very upset but she was very professional with everyone. She worked very fast and even though before she came out the time was long she worked hard doing many things ans seeing several people in a quick time. I thanked her and apologized for her hard work. She had a shirt on that said she was the director but I can not remember her name. She was very thourough and showed so much concerned when I explained my need. Even though it took me a long time I am happy she did my assesment.
Horrible place. Was sent there from er Dr. Most disgusting staff ever seen. No real therapeutic groups no real educated Dr.. Total scam case mgr is a arrogant uneducated disgusting person. Staff cares nothing about you. They clock in and sit on their ass the whole shift .lazy no honest concerns for patients at all. You ask too many questions you are transferred to a even worse cottage. Medicare and Humana are stopping any further payment to this disgusting fake hospital.not a hospital at all. A money trap.do not go to this place....
HELL that was my experience at Ridgeview But truly worse
Water is not freely given (I was dehydrated for a month afterwards), staff is cruel and vindictive, no outside time, in 1 room 90% of the day, only 2 group therapy sessions a day that are inadequate, punished for showing emotions, standing up for more than a minute is deemed as violent behavior and you will be sedated and restrained, nurses are not aware of patients conditions and their triggers do not go! If anything this place only allowed my suicidal urges to increase. Please do not send your child there.
This was the worst experience ihave had it took a while to get in then they send you out for testing and you are gone for hours after you have waited hours about five hours just to go to the hospital then you come back and you put in room for another four to six hours and by the time you get assigned to a room it is the next day you have to start a so called therapy which was not one. No therapy through the day or anything we sit in a commons area all-day with nothing to do. Wow what a place
