Chabad Residential Treatment Center For Men

Chabad Residential Treatment Center For Men Los Angeles California

Chabad’s primary care program combines innovative clinical services with an intensive therapeutic curriculum that is designed to address the full spectrum of the client’s needs. Because each client entering treatment has specific issues that are unique to their circumstances, the treatment plan created between the client, their therapist, and the treatment team, is specifically tailored to ensure that the needs of that individual are met.

The treatment objectives during primary care are geared at addressing the issues that emerge during early recovery. Client services include individual therapy, group therapy, 12 Step participation, as well as family and couples counseling. As treatment progresses and the client’s awareness of their underlying issues increases, focus shifts from primary, acute-care to aftercare, with an emphasis placed upon honing the tools that will be necessary to foster ongoing sobriety outside of the residential environment.

ABOUT CHABAD RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER FOR MEN

Located on Los Angeles’ Miracle Mile, Chabad Residential Treatment Center for Men is one of 540 (37.8%) treatment facilities in the state to provide residential substance abuse treatment. This program is specifically for men ages 18 and up. The center’s multi-staged program is non-sectarian, but it does draw from the traditional values of the Jewish Torah. Chabad does not employ any medical staff, therefore individuals who require detox or treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders should seek care elsewhere.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Chabad uses a four-stage program to treat addiction. Stage one is a period of self-exploration: clients work with an individual therapist to better understand the problems underlying their addiction. In stage two, clients are introduced to the 12-Steps – incorporated into 78.3% of California substance abuse center programming – and begin to build and strengthen their network of peers, friends, and family members.

In stage three, clients are given more freedom and encouraged to focus on improving family dynamics and utilize their newfound problem-solving skills. In stage four, clients focus on transition by developing a plan for re-entering society, securing employment or pursuing educational opportunities, and solidifying communication and life skills.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

According to its website, Chabad employs a team of highly experienced clinicians. The center offers a 1:1 staff-to-client ratio. • Good counsellors, solid meetings. Some negatives: food, no time to relax and recover. It was a tiring, long, drawn out process that in the long run was not effective for me
