The Intensive Outpatient (IOP) level of care provides clients with three hours of treatment, three to five days a week, from a team of highly trained therapists. Evolve IOP may be appropriate for those transitioning from a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or for those who need more structure than weekly psychotherapy.
During their stay with us, clients receive inpatient level of care in an outpatient setting through individual, group, and family therapy with a focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and 12-step supports. We offer a variety of psycho-educational support and DBT parenting courses, as well as psychological testing, assessment, and referral services. Additionally, clients engage in personal explorations through experiential therapies such as art and psychodrama, yoga, physical fitness, gardening, meditation, vocational pursuits, and more.
Our highly trained clinical team includes a psychiatrist, nurses, licensed therapists, certified counselors, and recovery coaches. All of whom bring comprehensive knowledge and expertise to the treatment experience. With locations in Camarillo and West Los Angeles, California, and Brooklyn, New York, the Evolve PHP, IOP, and OP programs provide a warm and supportive environment that includes private therapy offices, group therapy suites, indoor and outdoor interaction spaces, state-of-the-art technology, and educational tools.
ABOUT EVOLVE TREATMENT CENTERS BEL AIR
Located in the community of Bel Air, Calif., Evolve Treatment Center of Bel Air is one of seven treatment facilities operated by the treatment provider. The Bel Air location provides a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and a traditional outpatient program for adolescents (ages 12 to 17) struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring mental health concerns. If detoxification is required, Evolve coordinates with appropriate facilities to stabilize the client before they enroll into a treatment program.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission, clients participate in an initial assessment to ensure an outpatient-based program is an appropriate level of care. The assessment also identifies individual needs and helps clinicians to form personalized treatment plans. Evolve Treatment Center of Bel Air offers three levels of treatment intensity.
In Evolve’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), typically lasts 30 days, in which clients participate in five hours of daily programming, five days a week, while IOP involves three-hour sessions, three to five sessions per week, and typically lasts 60 days. The facility’s traditional outpatient program involves one or two-hour sessions, held one or two times per week. In some cases, clients may “step-down” through the levels of care to receive a comprehensive continuum of care.
Evolve’s programming blends evidence-based treatment methods and 12-step participation with experiential therapies to help clients identify contributing factors of their substance abuse. During outpatient sessions, clients participate in both group and individual counseling sessions that utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), which are designed to identify and modify irrational thinking and behavior.
The counseling sessions are designed to improve coping skills, promote free expression, set recovery goals, and process emotional issues. Clients with co-occurring disorders may also receive psychiatric evaluations and medication management. To include loved ones in treatment, the facility offers multi-family support groups and facilitates family counseling sessions.
In addition to counseling sessions, clients are also introduced to the principles and practices of the 12-step model of recovery. As a facility designed for adolescents, Evolve Treatment Centers also provides career and college counseling, linkages to vocational training opportunities, educational support, and student advocacy.
Along with traditional programming, Evolve’s PHP also incorporates mindful-based stress reduction (MBSR) activities, which may include organized hikes, meditation sessions, guided yoga, and cooking classes. To promote healthy lifestyle changes, clients may also participate in fitness regimens, boxing classes, music, art, and movement therapy, equine therapy, surfing trips, and attend social outings. Before completion of any level of care, clinicians coordinate with loved ones and the client to help form a comprehensive discharge plan.
