ABOUT ELITE HOUSES OF SOBER LIVING (EHSL)

The six facilities operated by Elite Houses of Sober Living (EHSL) in and around Chicago offer structured, transitional accommodations to adult males pursuing ongoing recovery after detoxification and other early stages of treatment. While the main focus of EHSL is transitional, sober housing, an outpatient center also provides multiple levels of treatment and DUI services. Many clients have been homeless or previously incarcerated.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Most clients of EHSL must be employed while in residence, although arrangements can be made for those on social security or unemployment. The nature of the program is to help men remain sober and work on their recovery process in a community of peers. Residents are expected to attend Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous meetings and to participate in individual and group counseling as needed. The facility’s staff also provides case management, collaborating with local social service providers to support clients’ holistic wellness. Academic and vocational training are available.

The facility’s outpatient programming ranges from intensive treatment to less frequent sessions and addresses such topics as smoking cessation, victim impact, and sex offender counseling as well as substance use disorders. Medication assisted therapy is provided in the form of methadone.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Treatment team members listed on the EHSL website hold a variety of certifications and licenses, including ones for alcohol and drug counselors, recovery specialists, and MISA (mentally ill substance abuser) counselors. The program founder is in recovery himself.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
