ABOUT MULBERRY CENTER
Just blocks from the Ohio River in the medical hub of Evansville, Ind., lies the Mulberry Center, a part of the Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare nonprofit organization with residential treatment as well as an array of outpatient counseling options that tackle everything from child bullying to adult substance abuse issues. As an outpatient facility, Mulberry Center is particularly attractive for employer-mandated treatment. Southwestern Behavioral gives priority to women, pregnant women, women with children, and IV drug users.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Residential treatment typically lasts 21 to 28 days. This includes classes, group and individual therapy, and 12-Step meetings on site and in the community. Family therapy and education are also major parts of treatment.
Mulberry Center also offers a variety of outpatient options, beginning with a simple 12-based regimen for patients transitioning out of residential treatment and going on to include Intensive Outpatient treatment which consists of three meetings a week for eight weeks. This program includes Matrix, Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and 12- step based treatment.
A team of six therapists provides all of the treatment at Mulberry. Two licensed clinical addiction counselors and four licensed clinical social workers administer treatment for both children and adults.
